Seeka / Takex is the new trade name for the complete quality line of industrial photo sensor products manufactured by Takenaka Ltd. of Kyoto, Japan. Takenaka has been manufacturing many specialized types of sensors since 1959. While the name may not be as familiar in North America as some in the industry, Takenaka sensor products have been top sellers in Japan for over three decades. The Takex sensor line, as well as several related industrial products produced by Takenaka, , is already well known as a leading manufacturer of high quality miniature CCD cameras for machine vision, automation, and aerospace applications. Takenaka and Seeka / Takex sensors have been sold iin the U.S. and Canada since 1984.

     The new F70 series digital display fiber optic sensor is the newest in the Seeka / Takenaka fiber optic family. The F70 series uses an LCD with back lighting to display the status of the sensors operation. This sensor has auto teaching / sensing / locking which can also be set externally. With the interference protection built-in, you can mount these units side by side without any cross talk. And because the units are the smallest in their class, they take up very little space for mounting. It has a built-in self-diagnostic feature which constantly monitors the incoming light level to ensure a stable operation.

The Seeka/Takex series of color mark sensors provides users a wide variety of color distinction sensors. There are four basic sensor types in the series:

GR Series-
The GR series provides color distintinction capability with a miniaturized, waterproof, and self-contained unit. A resin-filled package eliminates water absorption and condensation within the case, and meets IP67 specifications. These units are very durable in high vibration environments. Other features include open collector output, high speed response, light-on/dark-on switchable, and a flat lens to prevent dust collection.

CS Series-
The CS-C3N is a superb new addition to the Takex line. The CS-C3N uses true RGB filter color processing and can discriminate up to three colors, or different shades of the same color. A special fiberoptic design enables the CS-C3N to be used in space restrictive areas. Additional features include one millisecond response time, EEPROM push button color memory programming, and easy setup. See the first 3-color LED miniaturized color sensor.

MX Series-

The Seeka PF Series Sensors are Photosensors with built-in amplifiers. Coated with PFA, a highly chemical-resistant fluorine resin, the housing and fiber optic cables are particularly durable in a variety of chemical environments. The PF-T models employ a throughbeam detection method, while the PF-R models use a diffuse reflection method. A potentiometer for sensitivity adjustments is available as an option.
