applications. Designed to operate in harsh environments, Admotec¹s Series EK501 encoders
consist of an injection-molded magnetic encoder wheel dimensioned to your speciflcations
and a magnetoresistive hybrid IC sensor.
With wheel diameters down to 6mm, the EK501 provides up to four times the
resolution of comparable Hall-effect devices. Perfect for high-resolution feedback on
small motors, actuators, and valves. And large through-hole capability wheel IDs only 4mm
less than OD are possible‹provides economical speed and position sensing on large
shafts. An ideal solution for electronic torque wrenches, torque angle sensors, direct
installation in gear boxes and similar applications.
Series EK501 encoders are configured specifically for your application and
install quickly and easily without the delicate alignment associated with optical
encoders. Choose from over 75 combinations of resolution, wheel OD, and operating airgap,
just specify the wheel ID required in your application. And if a standard EK501 encoder
doesn¹t meet your needs, completely customized units can be quickly designed and supplied
to your requirements.
Series EK500

Rugged, compact magnetic encoders offer high performance in
harsh industrial and commercial environments.
Now OEMs can have the performance they need in a compact incremental
encoder designed to operate in severe industrial and commercial environments. Admotec¹s
Series EK500 encoders consist of an injection-molded magnetic encoder wheel made from a
proprietary magnetic material and a magnetoresistive hybrid IC sensor‹a combination
which installs easily in tight spaces. Perfect for electronic torque wrenches, torque
angle sensors, direct installation in gear boxes, etc.
Operating in harsh environments and within minimal space, the EK500
provides up to twice the resolution of comparable Hall-effect devices. Resolutions up to
600 PPR for each of two channels in quadrature are available, providing up to 2,400 counts
per turn.
Series EK500 encoders install quickly and easily without the delicate
alignment associated with optical encoders. And tangential sensing means that axial
end-play problems are a thing of the past. Two pots allow trimming the duty cycle of each
channel if necessary.

Series FM700
The thinnest profile and the highest performance in its class.
Admotec¹s Flat Magnetic Encoder has the narrowest profile and the highest
performance in harsh environments.
The new Admotec Series FM700 flat magnetic encoder permits OEMs to achieve
optimum performance from a narrow proŽle, fully enclosed magnetic encoder. Only 27mm long
(31mm with dust cover), the Series FM700 requires less space than traditional optical
encoders and delivers higher performance. In addition to a once-per-revolution
marker, this flat magnetic encoder provides up to 2,048 pulses per revolution on each of
two quadrature channels and operates in harsh environments including high shock,
vibration, and contaminants.
In addition, the self-contained, hollow-shaft FM700 is easily installed
and automatically aligned,no additional shaft coupling is required. Two set screws secure
the FM700 on the rotating shaft, and three screws attach the flexible spring assembly of
the encoder body to the stationary flange. This low profile design virtually eliminates
shaft loading, and accommodates up to 0.2mm (0.008") of shaft end play.
